Easter Nails

Easter is so close I can almost taste it.  Which obviously has nothing to do with the fact that I just ate a rocky road ice-cream :P I have complete fallen in love with Easter colours this year.  So I have put together a very quick and easy Easter inspired nail look for you.

I used Essie Rock the Boat and N.Y.C. Pink Cheeks to achieve this look.  I would recommend also using a clear coat over the top.  I usually use Sally Hanson, but I don't have it with me today.

Firstly I painted all but two of my feature nails with Rock the Boat.  Then I painted my feature nails with Pink Cheeks.  These both needed to coats.

After this I used a small brush a painted an oval shape for an egg on my two feature nails with Rock the Boat.  This also required two coats again.

Lastly I used the smaller brush to create little spots on the egg with Pink Cheeks. If you do not have a smaller brush I have also used the end of a tooth pick or the end of a bobby pin before.  The tooth pick allows you to create really small shapes.

Finally you have a very cute Easter nail look.

Happy Easter everyone!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Easter Bath Bombs

Easter is almost here so I thought I would share the perfect Easter recipe with you, chamomile, honey and lemon bath bombs.  Not everyone is able to eat chocolate so these Easter bath bombs will make a lovely gift.  If not for someone else, then to give yourself a chocolateless treat.  Quick side note the brown spots on the bunny are chamomile tea leaves.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of bicarbonate soda
1/2 of lemon juice or citric acid powder
Chamomile, lemon and honey tea bag or another tea of your choice
Food colouring
Tray
Rubber gloves

1. Using a sieve add all of dry ingredients and combine in a large bowl.
2. In a second bowl combine the lemon juice and food colouring.
3. Slowly add the liquid from the second bowl to the dry ingredients of the first.  Mix quickly to ensure that the mixture does not fizzle to much.
4. Oil molds to ensure the mixture does not stick to the molds.
4. Once mixed place mixture in molds.  Press down the mixture to ensure it will stay together.
5. Place molds on a tray to set in a dry place for 36-48 hours.
6. To take out of the molds tap the side of the mold on a hard surface.  This make take longer for more complicated molds.

This mixture allowed me to create one bunny, two half eggs and fill six little mini cup cake spaces.  Using a mini cupcake tray also creates a really cute shape for other times in the year.

Happy Easter beautifuls!  Hope you all have a relaxing and fabulous weekend.  xx

Liebster Award

I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by Kayla - Beauty Blur!  For those of you who are not aware, this award is given to new bloggers by other bloggers to recognise them for the work that they have done thus far on their blog.

These are are the rules:
1. Provide a link back to the blogger who nominated you.
2. Post 11 random facts about you.
3. Answer 11 random questions set by the blogger who nominated you.
4. Nominate 11 bloggers with under 200 followers for the award (excluding who nominated you).
5. Let the nominees know that you have nominated them.

Random facts about me:
1. I may have only begun this blog at the start of the year, but I have been fashion blogging for 3 years.
2. I love Italian food, in particular pasta and lasagne.
3. I love taking photos in photo booths.
4. I am currently having an internal debate about which I love more, taking photos of videoing.  Photos allow me to capture a singular moment and place it in a frame or on my wall.  Videos allow me to capture multiple moments, but I can;t place them on my wall.  If only I could do both at the same time.
5. I am incredibly excited to go to London and Europe at the end of the year.
6. I have far too many ideas for my future.  Love fashion, music, but also teaching.
7. As much as I love university, I wish blogging and youtubing could be my life.
8. Many people hate the fact that they have curly hair, but honestly I love it.  It makes me a little bit different from everyone else who has straight or wavy hair.  But when I do straighten it, it look like a complete change.  And who doesn't love a change.
9. I love travelling.
10.  I love when it rains.  I have my bed placed next to the window so that I can watch the rain.
11. I can't stop wearing monochrome.  It is definitely my favourite thing at the moment.

Questions set by Kayla:

1. What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about either fashion or music.  Both are equally as thrilling.  Both are equally as thrilling.  Nothing compares to your brain running a million miles and hour with ideas of how to style people, endless combinations.  It's incredibly rewarding.  Music however is something that I've grown up with.  Whether it was singing to the Back Street Boys (I feel so old haha) whilst watching TV on a Saturday morning, writing my own music as I grew older or singing in a musical.  Music is something that has always made me feel complete.

2. What is one thing no one would know about you from your blog?
I love Marvel characters, in particular Spider-Man.  I am so excited for the next movie to come out.  Everyone has a nerdy side right? :P

3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I wanted to showcase my style and love of fashion.  I also thought that this platform would give me an opportunity to connect with other with similar styles.

4. Who or what are you most inspired by and why?
I am constantly inspired by people's incredible stories and beautiful perspectives.  I am also inspired by nature when taking photos.  Lastly I am inspired by other fashion bloggers/vloggers.

5. Where do you live now and where would you live if you could pick any place?  Why?
I live in Australia.  However I live in a small city where it is almost always Summer.  I'd live to live in Brighton (UK).  It's close to the ocean, it seems to have everything you need (shopping wise), and I would have a chance to have Summer and Winter.  Plus it's a lot closer to Europe ;)

6. What are the 3 most important things to you in life? Why?
Family and friends.  I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.  They are my everything.  I guess that counts as two, so lastly my camera.  My camera allows me to capture and remember beautiful moments.

7. Does the future scare you or excite you? Why?
The future does not scare me, it excites me.  There are so many wonderful possibilities in the future all with new exciting outcomes.

8. What is your favourite type of blog to read?
Fashion/Street Style.

9. Who is the most important person, that you know, in your life?
That would have to be my family.  There's no way I could pick between them.

10. What is one thing that you like and dislike about blogging?
I love that I get to showcase my style and ideas, but at the same time I have so many idea, and so little time.

11. Where do you want to be in 10 years?
In ten years time,  I would love to be living in a big city.  Covering street style and events.  I would love to work with other fashion bloggers and look at their perspectives on fashion.  Everyone's perspective is unique, even when it comes to fashion.  But most of all to be taken seriously.

I nominate:

The F Bombs

6. What never fails to make you happy?
7. What movie do you watch when you're sick?
8. Summer or Winter? Why?
