Stripes With Flair

Lucy in the Sky dresses are completely hitting the mark right now.  Particularly when it comes to all things stripes.  I am in love.  Before I go any further, no, this is not sponsored, I'm just showing all the things that I am craving currently.

Fall Into The Night Dress
This dress seems like the perfect relaxed, day dress, suited for the beach or a festival.  The lace sleeved detailing is also incredibly cute and dreamy.  Keep any jewellery or accessories with this to a minimum, and coordinate with a pair of ankle boots.
Stripes With Flair

1. Opening Lines Dress
2. Cross Your Mind Dress
3. Sweet Ambition Dress
4. Not Your Business Dress

It's no secret that I adore stripes.  Lucy in the Sky is very en pointe with these four different styles.  As all of these dresses are patterned, I would once again highly recommend keeping any jewellery or accessories nice and simple.  Layered necklaces always work perfectly v-necks or button up shirts.  I would also style dress two and three with some strappy sandals.

Ride With Me Dress
A baby blue shift dress, with eyelet lace capped sleeves.  Could you find anything cuter? Slightly bolder jewellery or accessories with this dress would be perfect.  Style with a short statement necklace in white or a contrasting colour.

Fringe Fiend Dress
This dress makes me want to go on some incredible island getaway to the Maldives.  This dress has all the elements I need to get my hands on for this Summer; the fringe, white fabric, halter neck and low back create an easily chic Summer look.  When styling avoid wearing any necklaces and stick to statement earrings or cuffs.

Touch of Class Dress
Hello casual elegance!  The cross over collar detailing and tie waist create such a classic style.  Pair with some thin chained, gold necklaces, simple midi rings and a pair of pointed closed to heeled sandals.

Hope you are all having an amazing week.

Floral Kimono

Hello beautifuls,
I hope you are all having an amazing weekend wherever you are.  I've been in love with floral kimonos for what feels like forever and a day.  For even longer, I've had this fabric that just happened to be the perfect size to sew a kimono.  Here it is included in today's outfit of the day.

The joys of trying to take photos outside during an Australian Summer.  Attack of the mosquitoes.

But first tea

Hello beautifuls,
Today I've just had a nice relaxing day at home.  Considering how hot it is in Queensland at the moment, outdoors should be avoided at costs.  However you cannot go past a good cup of tea.  There's lot of new bit and pieces in today's outfit I'm excited to share with you.
This beautiful necklace I received from my amazing boyfriend for Christmas.  Which has quite frankly been a staple piece since then.  Wearing lots of simple pieces is always quite effective, as I have done so with this look, both clothing and accessories.  As I always say, Chanel rule: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off".

2015

Happy 2015 my beautifuls!

Hope you have all had an amazing year so far.
At the start of 2014 I wrote that my new year's resolution was simply to be fabulous.  Which by definition means to be extraordinary.  So for an entire year I said yes to many opportunities, forced myself to try things and takes risks I wouldn't have in the past.  I must say simply for this reason I enjoyed my year, and learnt so many more things about myself than I would've expected.  A massive risk I took at the start of the year was booking flights to London and a tour around Europe.  It was something I've always wanted to do, but was quite frankly a bit scared that I might spend the entire time being anxious, because everything was so new and unfamiliar.  But because of that risk, I saw so many incredible and breath taking things, I made friends with amazing people, learnt numerous things about myself and the world around me and most importantly made some amazing memories.  Here is the first vlog from my trip, featuring the amazing sights of London.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who made 2014, not to sound cheesy, but the best year.
