Floral Kimono

Hello beautifuls,
I hope you are all having an amazing weekend wherever you are.  I've been in love with floral kimonos for what feels like forever and a day.  For even longer, I've had this fabric that just happened to be the perfect size to sew a kimono.  Here it is included in today's outfit of the day.

The joys of trying to take photos outside during an Australian Summer.  Attack of the mosquitoes.

Contrast Styling

Contrast
I was absolutely inspired by these pointed toe stilettos from John Lewis.  They are the most incredible colour and the perfect way to add a pop of colour to a Spring look.  The Kenzo skirt creates a lux look through simple detailing of gorgeous fabric, complimenting the Alexander Wang tuxedo shirt.  The key to this look is simplicity.  As Coco Chanel said, "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take on thing off."

Preppy Patterns

Hello beautifuls,
I was in the mood to go completely Preppy today.  The pink jewels on the top were the perfect colour to contrast the tones of blue throughout my outfit.  I felt the navy blazer brought out the darker tones in skirt.  When styling and trying to choose a colour from your outfit to match or accessorize with, always choose one of the less prominent colours.  This always creates a more complimentary effect.

Hope you are all having a fabulous week.

Adding colour to Winter

Hello beautifuls,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far.  I've decided to embrace colour this week with my usual preppy style, but with the addition of some grunge boots.  I'm also rather excited because I've had the ends of my hair redone, so there is a lot more blonde now.  These colours are usually considered Spring colours, rather than Winter.  However I couldn't wait to wear them.

Finds of the Week

Finds of the Week

Hello beautifuls,

I've decided from now to show you each week what I have been loving.  This week is very 90's inspired.  I am loving chunky heels, off the shoulder tops, thicker strapy sandals, stripes, kiminos and gingham.  My love of pleats is also beginning reappear.  Black is still the new black for me.  I know they were a little different, but the red shoes from Modcloth were different, but very beautiful.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone.  Shop all the items from this set below.
