Hello beautifuls!
Winter is just around the corner, so it's time for my Winter fashion essentials. This is just the first of a series of posts. Firstly lets begin with knee and thigh high boots.
During New York Fashion Week knee and thigh high boots were everywhere. They create such a classic look. A bit of advice I have been given in the past when choosing shoes is, always buy in a suede black fabric. These not only look a lot more expensive, but tend to date less over time. Here are a few gorgeous high boots, with also the option of a patent finish.
When styling these boots they should either be a flawless transition or a feature. As a flawless transition they should match seamlessly with the colour of fabric they have been paired with. For example, as shown below, the boots match perfectly with the colour of jeans, creating a flawless transition between fabrics. This transition can be easily created with boots of a suede or suede like fabric.

When styling these boots as a feature avoid having any other fabrics behind them, or style them as a contrasting colour. In the edit below I have styled them with a shorter dress to have them as a feature. This styling will also be perfect to show off your gorgeous legs.

Key styling tip: The longer dress is, the shorter your legs will appear. Make sure you have a decent gap between the dress and boots. Remember to always keep it classy though.
